Anti-Evolution... Oversights

Both sides in the Anti-Evolution vs. Anti-Creation war are guilty of incredible... oversights.

This is about as complicated and far reaching a subject as has ever... evolved.
Deserves a lot of development, but the essentials are there.

2003 Feb 19

Anti-Evolution overlooks that the “created” of Genesis 1:1 does not mean “to create from nothing”. Rather, one of the primary original root meanings in the Hebrew is “to select”, as in... “supernatural selection”. They also overlook that Genesis describes “creation” as a synergistic combination of cosmological and biological processes of evolution, a brief thumbnail sketch of divinely guided evolution from a spiritual perspective, to be sure, but evolution nonetheless.

Both sides, the Anti-Creation side as well as the Anti-Evolution side, overlook that philosophers have known for millennia that — except for some mathematical systems — it is impossible to prove that something is impossible. The Anti-Creation people cannot scientifically prove that there are no “supernatural entities” that are guiding our ongoing creation-by-evolution.

Directly or by way of the Science section.
